1:50 Level Of Detail








Mapping heritage value. This recent project specified a 1:50 issue, at plot size the font (above) above appears as 20mm tall, the moulding lines are suggestive rather than ‘as cut’ but none the less depict a close facsimile of the object, it may be that a blank outline would suffice but the significance of the building requires a realistic depiction: the community who value this building need to know that value is respected in the record.

The drawing set will be used to map damage and prepare intervention for conservation, it’s the first step to managing the monument and, as such reveals the quality of the architecture that must be respected throughout the forthcoming processes.
