I have never been a fan of these, preferring the Heerbrugg stable but there is no denying Topcon GPT instruments are a popular choice in archaeology, especially the N versions which have a reflectorless capability. I had the good fortune to get on site with one this week. Setting up the 3000 is a little different to the earlier 2000 series although the TheoLt instrument selection for the 2006 works fine once these settings are done:
TheoLt has an interface for the GPT 2006 which can be used for the 3000 series.
The GPT instruments are the basic TST option from Topcon, ES and OS models offering on board programability and robotic control.
It took a fair bit of digging to find the settings but it’s nice to know TheoLt supports the whole GPT family!
